The State of the Scripting Universe

An interview with Perl’s Damian Conway, Rohan Pall from the PHP community, Guido van Rossum, TCL’s Jeff Hobbs, and myself, about the nature and future of dynamic languages.
Lynn Greiner has just published her interview with with Perl’s Damian Conway, Rohan Pall from the PHP community, Guido van Rossum, TCL’s Jeff Hobbs, and myself, about the nature and future of dynamic languages.

The interview was conducted by e-mail, and none of us knew the others’ answers. Given that, it’s staggering just how much consensus there is on the issues and the benefits of scripting (or as we all tried to rebrand then, dynamic) languages.
